Members of the Homeland party in Exeter, leaders of the 2024 far-right riots in Plymouth. The openly fascist ‘Great British National Strike’ goes exactly as expected in Devon.
Update: Renaming this event to the Great British Nazi Stuff (or Tiny British Nazi Stuff if you look closely enough):

Plymouth
Over 100 fascists turned out, met by a similar number of antifascists. As always, the antifascists carried the day by out shouting and out lasting the racists. Forming up at 1100, the counter-demonstration was still in good voice when the last of the racists slinked off at 1500.
Although the day passed mostly without incident, most notable was the attendance of Gary Harkness, recently released from prison, following his conviction for his leading role in the far-right riot in the city on the 5th of August last year. Two other racists were arrested, one of whom spent the minutes leading up to his arrest throwing multiple Nazi salutes and attempting to attack the counter demonstration.

Exeter
Although heavily outnumbered by the racists, the counter in Exeter did a fantastic job in seeing them off, out-singing and out-lasting them. The supporting cast on the fascist side included a large contingent of conspiracy theorists, including the group Time to Wake Up Devon and vendors of ‘The Light’. The most interesting attendee was Mike Lynton from the fascist party Homeland. If it wasn’t obvious the kind of people this ‘Strike’ would attract before the event, it is now.
