It had been building for a while, but it still somehow took us by surprise. After years of dog-whistle politics from those at the very top of the imperialist hierarchy, the racism they’ve been encouraging finally spilled over this summer. Fascists and their class traitor puppets from the left-behind working class, smashing their way through our towns and cities whilst chanting a slogan borrowed from a Prime Minister.

These ‘Stop the Boats’ protestors, and more importantly, the extreme right-wing organisations behind them, must be challenged and resisted.

Teignbridge Antifascists have been actively opposing them in the streets at a number of riots and ‘protests’ during August. It won’t be long until we’re experiencing one of these events within Teignbridge, and we need to be prepared. Until then, we will continue to identify local fascists and build our strength, whilst showing solidarity to our comrades in other areas.
